Hard work leads to Premier League for Burnley's Cisak

Alex Cisak admits it has been a hard road to get to the English Premier League.

The 24-year old Australian goalkeeper is part of the Burnley squad that has achieved promotion from the Championship to England's top flight and he has taken pride in the amount of hard work it has taken to reach the ultimate goal.

"Ten years ago my family sacrificed life as they knew it to afford me the opportunity to chase my dream of being a professional footballer, and now the journey continues in the Premier League," the former Leicester City, Oxford United, Tamworth, Accrington Stanley, Oldham Athletic and Portsmouth gloveman told FourFourTwo.

"At club level it's the culmination of a lot of hard work put in by everyone at the football club.

"Everyone has contributed at some point in the season on the pitch, and behind the scenes we have all put in toward the common goal of promotion."

Burnley sit second on the Championship table, seven points behind champions Leicester City, and eight ahead of third-placed Derby County prior to their final match of the season against Reading this weekend.
