Mauricio Pochettino will only return to the transfer market this summer if there is definitely a player available who can improve his Tottenham Hotspur squad.
Spurs have signed Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen for around £30million combined in the current window while other clubs like Manchester United and Manchester City have splashed over £140m each on new signings.
Pochettino says the desire of Premier League clubs to spend up shows they are desperate to improve their squads which he feels he has done so far, and won't open the check book again unless it is necessary.
"That shows when you spend a lot of money it is because you are not happy with your squad or your players and you are desperate to improve your squad," he said.
"I am very happy with my players, I think it is very difficult to find better players than we have."
The Argentine added: "We are open to adding one or two players or maybe no one. But if we have the possibility to sign a player that can improve us, we are very open."
Spurs open their 2016/17 Premier League campaign against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.
