Hapoel 1-3 Lyon: Bastos double leads Lyon to victory

French club Lyon were able to see off Israel’s Hapoel Tel Aviv 3-1 thanks to a Michel Bastos double in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Brazilian winger got his team off to a great start in their Group B clash when he converted a 7th minute penalty before scoring a 20-yard screamer in the 36th minute which will long live in the memory of those present at the Ramat Gan Stadium.

Hapoel hit back when goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama stepped up to the penalty spot and finished neatly but it wasn’t enough as Miralem Pjanic made it 3-1 in injury time.
