Liverpool youngsters Martin Hansen and Michael Collins have signed pro deals.

Goalkeeper Hansen was a key part of the club's Youth Cup winning side last year and is a regular for Denmark Under-17s. He will now spend two years at Melwood.

Collins, a skilful striker who plays for Republic of Ireland Under-17s, will begin his two-year contract at the Academy.

Academy manager John Owens said: "Martin Hansen has all the qualities required and is very mature. He's at Melwood already, and while you don't want to push them too far too soon, that shows the potential he has.

"Michael Collins is a skilful, clever striker who's been with us for a year. He's had to bide his time because there's been older strikers ahead of him, but he'll be hopeful of making more of an impact this year."
