Stoke City face being priced out of a move for Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf.
The Mirror says Stoke have been warned they will have to pay a bumper £17million for Diouf by his German club Hannover.
The Potters only want to pay around £5m for the 25-year-old, and may now wait until the former Manchester United reserve is a free agent next summer.
Hannover president Martin Kind said: "If Stoke City offer 20million euros, we would think about it. But I don't think this is very realistic."
