Hannover 96 are in talks with goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler to remove his buyout clause.
Former Manchester United keeper Zieler has spoken about returning to the Premier League, where Liverpool and Newcastle United have been linked.
BILD says Hannover chief Dirk Dufner is attempting to remove the €8 million buyout clause in Zieler's deal.
The shot-stopper's contract runs to 2015.
