Hannover hoping to keep Stoke target Diouf

Hannover president Martin Kind has revealed that the German club do not want to sell Mame Biram Diouf to Stoke City.

Reports suggest that there was an agreement put in place for the Senegalese international to join the Potters for around £6.8million but Hanover have gone back on that by saying they intend to keep him at the AWD-Arena.

"He fits in well and has shown how important he is," Kind told Kicker.

"We can make the decision ourselves. That is what the most important thing is. We want to keep him this season and extend his contract if possible."
