Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made a formal approach for Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf.
Hannover president Martin Kind has told German media outlets that Cardiff have made an official approach, says the Western Mail.
Diouf, also wanted by Stoke City, is available for £2.5 million.
