Hannover chief Heldt: Freiburg didn't rip us off over Ryan Kent

Hannover chief Horst Heldt insist there's no bitterness over Ryan Kent's move to Freiburg.

The Liverpool midfielder signed for Freiburg on deadline day after weeks of talks with Hannover.

However, Heldt insists Hannover was not caught out, explaining: "On our side, there was a clear agreement. The conditions had been set."

Those "conditions" for Hannover president Martin Kind were for Kent to be only signed if an attacking player was offloaded. In the end there was no place for Kent to fill.

"Freiburg definitely did not rip us off," added Heldt.

Kent has joined Freiburg on a season-long loan.
