Honduran midfielder Emil Martinez has confirmed there is interest from MLS.
The 28-year old is currently contracted to Chinese Super League club Hangzhou Greentown and although he has received offers from North America’s top flight, has indicated he may remain in Asia.
“I have offers from the MLS, but right now I do not play in the US. One should also look at China economically and I am doing well,” he said in Honduras’ La Prensa. “I do not know yet which team I will be at.”
Martinez kicked off his career with homeland club Marathon in 2001 and since then has had stints in Costa Rica with Alajuelense, Mexico with Indios and China with Beijing Guoan.
