Brede Hangeland feels Fulham should be in a more advanced position on the Premier League table.
The Cottagers currently sit 17th having recorded just seven points in seven matches but the Norwegian defender is of the belief that Martin Jol's squad is good enough to be higher in the standings as they get set to take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday.
"I am not particularly pleased (with the points total)," he told Dagbladet.
"That statistic doesn't impress anyone. We've got work to do - we have had a fairly tough programme, but one point on average per match is worse than we had planned."
He added: "I would like us to collect some points in the two upcoming matches (Palace and Southampton), before the two difficult matches.
"It is possible to take points against United and Liverpool. We've got a tradition of taking points against the top clubs at times."
