Fulham defender Brede Hangeland is eager to see manager Roy Hodgson sign his new deal.

The Norway centre-half last weekend ended months of speculation about a switch to Arsenal by penning a contract extension until 2013.

And on Hodgson, Hangeland says: "Certainly for me, and I'm sure for everyone else at the club, we want him to stay. Hopefully, he will do that [sign a deal] very soon."
