Cardiff City adviser Sam Hamman is backing their move for Molde coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Hammam is now Cardiff's life president and a confidante of Vincent Tan's.

Referring to Manchester United legend Solskjaer, Hammam said: "From my point of view he is in line with the profile Cardiff want. I have known him since he was a young kid and I tried to buy him when I was owner of Wimbledon.

"He had a good grounding at Manchester United and now he is manager at Molde, he will have a good grounding."
