Chicago Fire coach Denis Hamlett is very happy he was able to secure the services of Tim Ward this season.
Speaking to his team's official website, Hamlett said, "He got lost in the shuffle with a couple of different teams. It's just about bringing him in with our environment and our players and saying look, 'this is what we're about and this is what is expected of you and play to your strengths.' I think he's benefited from that.
"He's a soccer player. He has soccer in him. I was able to see that when he was training with us when he was 15 years old.
"If you put him in different spots, he can adjust to those situations and make soccer plays," Hamlett continued. "That's the part we're happy with. It's never easy when you have a player that can go into different spots. It can be hard to adjust, but to his credit, he's done well with it."
