Chicago Fire head coach Denis Hamlett has already had to dig deep into his defensive roster this season, but his team are prepared even though roster sizes were cut for MLS teams this year. With reference to how his team are coping with a weakened defence Hamlett told Chicago's official website: "You always talk about it. Between injuries, sickness, suspensions, call-ups, you need a deep bench. That is something we try to do here, to have guys who are capable of stepping in at any moment."
