Skysports.com reports Hamilton boss Billy Reid is a contender for the vacant manager's job at Sheffield Wednesday. The likes of Nigel Worthington and Darren Ferguson have been linked with the job, but Reid is also thought to be highly rated by the board at Hillsborough.
Reid has worked miracles at Hamilton since taking over in 2005, leading them to the SPL in 2008 by winning the First Division title ahead of St Johnstone.
Hamilton are establishing themselves in the SPL and they currently sit in seventh spot after Saturday's impressive win at Aberdeen.
Reid, who was named PFA Scotland Manager of the Year in 2008, is highly regarded in football circles in Scottish football and is seen as one of the best young and upcoming managers in Scotland.
