Hamilton boss Reid admits battle to keep Chelsea, Barcelona target McCarthy
Hamilton boss Billy Reid knows the offers will arrive for Scotland's Young Player of the Year James McCarthy.
Barcelona, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been confirmed by his agent as being interested and Reid said: “It is a difficult thing to assess what price you can put on James.
“People will look at us as just being Hamilton Accies, but we realise the talent we have at the club.
“We aren’t the biggest, but James knows he’s at a club where he can progress.
“I’ll be over the moon if he stays, but if the time comes where he moves on for a new challenge he will get our full backing.”
