Jamie Hamill believes boss Mixu Paatelainen has brought out the fighting spirit at Kilmarnock this season. Killie battled for a point at Hamilton in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League after trailing by two goals.
Killie found themselves trailing to goals from Flavio Paixao and Nigel Hasselbaink after Accies dominated the first half at New Douglas Park on Saturday.
He said: "The boys did really well in the second half after a disappointing first half, we usually play better than that.
"We have shown good character to get back into the game and that's thanks to Kenny Shiels and the gaffer.
"They have brought a new lease of life into the changing room and we're really enjoying working under them."
