German club Hamburg have signed John Djourou on loan from Arsenal.
The 26-year old Swiss defender has penned a one-year loan spell with Die Rothosen with the view to a permanent deal next summer.
Djourou was thrilled to be returning to the club where he spent the second half of last season.
"I'm very happy now that everything is sorted. HSV are a big club, with a lot of quality and great fans," he told the club's official website.
"I am convinced that this is the right step for my career."
