Hamburg striker Mladen Petric was offered to Liverpool yesterday.

Petric has seen his first team chances evaporate this season as Ruud van Nistelrooy kicked off the campaign in impressive form.

Volker Struth, Petric's agent, admitted yesterday they were trying to find the Croatia international a new club.

Liverpool, Juventus and Schalke were all contacted, but without success.
