German sources say Valencia coach Unai Emery sees Guerrero as an ideal replacement for star man David Villa.
Guerrero has been with Hamburg for four years, having joined from Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich. The 26 year-old Peru international learned his trade at Alianza de Lima.
