Hamburg chairman Heribert Bruchhagen is worried about the hype around their whizkid striker Jann-Fiete Arp.
Arp has already turned down interest from Chelsea and is being tracked by Tottenham.
But Bruchhagen is eager to ease the hype around the 17 year-old: "This is all too fast for me.
"You should always be careful, Fiete is a really great player, a great talent, but he has to develop accordingly, and we have to take care of that."
He added: "It's too big for him, because I've seen too many times that great 17-year-olds have not fulfilled their expectations."
Bruchhagen recalled: "I was part of Eintracht years ago, with the top talent Sonny Kittel - like Fiete Arp now - he was given the Fritz Walter medal for special performances by the DFB. Sonny now plays in the second division at Ingolstadt."
