Hamburg board split over sale for Spurs target Son

Hamburg management are split over the future of striker Heung-Min Son.

The South Korea international is a £10 million target for Tottenham and has told friends he'd welcome a move to White Hart Lane.

However, HSV chief Frank Arnesen remains hopeful of securing Son to a new contract, revealing: "We are in ongoing discussions and are very close together. It's Son's desire. I am optimistic that he chooses for us."

But there are those on HSV's board who would prefer to cash in, with the money raised a welcome boost to their dwindling coffers.
