Didi Hamann has no problem with comments made earlier this season by Manchester City chairman Thaksin Shinawatra about his age.

"He's entitled to give his opinion and say what he wants," Hamann said in The Daily Star, before revealing he is in talks over a new deal.

"I have never had much pace, so things don't change too much in that department.

"I have always had to use my head more than my legs and I think I can play on for at least another year, probably a couple. After that I will take it year by year.

"But so far so good. I'm feeling fine and my people have spoken to the manager about a new contract.

"There's no reason for me to look anywhere else. The best solution would be to stay at City. I would love to settle here."
