Hamann set to win new Man City contract

Didi Hamann is set to pen a new one-year deal at Manchester City.

The Sun says the German midfielder, 34, has been a revelation under new boss Sven Goran Eriksson, after being frozen out by Stuart Pearce last season.

The ex-Liverpool favourite is out of contract next summer but City will grant him a £20,000-a-week extension.
