Released Manchester City midfielder Didi Hamann is set to sign for Portsmouth.

The People says Hamann has turned down Sven Goran Eriksson's Notts County - and instead is heading to Pompey on a one-year deal.

The German remains convinced that he can still hack it in the top-flight.
