Hamann keen to finish career at Man City

Dietmar Hamann would be happy to see out the remainder of his career with Manchester City.

The veteran German midfielder is planning to hold further talks with manager Sven Goran Eriksson over extending his stay at Eastlands.

Former Liverpool and Newcastle midfielder Hamann, 34, believes he can continue to cut it in the Premier League until 2010.

He told the News of the World: "My people spoke to the manager about a new contract a few weeks ago but we have some important games coming up so we'll talk again.

"We'll see what the club comes up with. I am happy here and things are going well.

"The best solution for me would be to stay here.

"I've probably got another couple of years."
