Dieter Hamann could be in line for a return to Liverpool.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the German is being considered for a backroom role under the Jurgen Klopp regime.

It is believed that incoming boss Klopp wants a former Reds player on his coaching staff and his fellow countryman is apparently keen on an Anfield comeback.

Hamann acted as player-coach at MK Dons in 2010 and 2011 and has also spent time as first-team coach at Leicester City and a short stint as manager of Stockport County.
