Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg is wanted by Halmstads BK.
Ljungberg is currently at VfL Wolfsburg as an assistant to new coach Andries Jonker.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists the Swede will return to London Colney after his stint in Germany.
However, HBK chairman Tony Karlsson stated: "It is clear that all the major players enjoyed a special interest from their old clubs. It is clear that at some point in the future it would naturally be some kind of a dream, I think everyone likes him.
"But more concretely, it is not for right now.
"Each time Fredrik wants, desires or has the opportunity to visit Halmstads Bollklubb it's fun. Whether it's to see us play a game, take part in a workout or whatever."
