Alen Halilovic admits to being a fan of English football and claims a club linked to him over the summer remains keen, reports SkySports. The side in question is reported to be Tottenham Hotspur, with Andre Villas-Boas being reportedly interested in the 17 year old midfielder.
No move was put in place, with the youngster remaining at Dinamo Zagreb in his native Croatia.
He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "I can confirm that last summer I was close to moving abroad, a transfer from Dinamo was not far away.
"I can also tell you that this club still wants me.
"Clubs from Italy? I didn't speak with Inter Milan or Juventus.
"I will just say that I love English and Spanish football the most."
