Sunderland defender Greg Halford admits he does not know what the future holds when his Charlton loan spell finishes at the end of the season.
The right-back has switched clubs during the last three transfer windows, joining Reading from Colchester in January 2007 before a summer switch to the Black Cats.
Halford struggled to break into the first team at the Stadium of Light and was farmed out to Charlton in January, where he is beginning to show the form which made him such a hot prospect 18 months ago.
"I haven't spoken to anyone about what is going to happen at the end of the season," he told the South London Press.
"Football is a very unpredictable business, and while I know what I want to do, I don't know what anyone else is thinking. Hopefully it will all work best for everyone."
