Gregg Halford has announced he will leave Cardiff City this summer.

The 33-year-old joined the Bluebirds in January 2017 from Rotherham and went on to make 33 appearances in all competitions.

The versatile defender helped Cardiff reach Premier League promotion last season but ahead of the Friday training posted a tweet to confirm he will be departing.

"I've had the most amazing time with everyone associated with the club, but everything comes to an end eventually," Halford tweeted.

"It's been a complete honour and privilege to play for such a big club and put on that shirt for the last 18 months.

"Last year was one of the best highlights of my career winning promotion to the Premier League."
