Hajduk Split’s Skoko has doubt of Viduka’s international return

Hajduk Split midfielder Josip Skoko believes his close friend Mark Viduka will more than likely not represent his nation again.
The duo have just been holidaying together in Croatia and Skoko spoke of the chances of the former Socceroos captain fronting up for next year’s World Cup.
“If I was a betting man I would have to say it’s a long shot that we will see Dukes in South Africa next year,” Skoko said.
“First of all he has to get back playing club football again, and there’s a question mark there on where and whether that will happen. Will he stay at Newcastle or move on?
“That said though, while he has not officially retired there is still definitely some hope that he could return for the Socceroos.”
