Hajduk Split locked in talks with Lazio target Reja

Hajduk Split were locked in talks last night with their Italian coach Edy Reja.

It emerged during the day that Lazio have contacted the Croatians about Reja's availability. Lazio want the former Napoli boss to succeed Davide Ballardini.

Reja is contracted to Hajduk Split until 2011, with an escape clause worth around €50,000.

"We are talking about it,” confirmed Reja. "The situation is not easy, there are issues that must be overcome. I know that everything should be defined within a short time for obvious reasons, but it's not easy."
