Hahnemann confident Wolves can climb EPL table

Wolves goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann is confident the club can bounce back and push their way up the English Premier League table.

The USA veteran has seen his club drop their past four matches to fall to second bottom, wedged between this weekend's opponents West Ham United and Liverpool, but insists the players have the mettle to get themselves out of a sticky situation.

"I think last year if we were in this position there would have been a lot more tension around the place," he told the club's official website.

"Sometimes it gets really 'bitty' in training when things aren't going your way. It can make things difficult but we've not had any of that.

"There are such a good group of guys here and we will know we will get through this. We just need a result to go our way.

"Everyone is still working really hard and with the players we've got I'm still very confident we're going to be OK."

And Hahnemann said that Wolves have some fond recent memories of taking on the Hammers.

"We had some big games last season including a memorable one against West Ham," he added.

"We beat them at their place but they'd already beaten us at Molineux on the first day of the season. The game down there was a turning point really.

"We were both in a similar spot in the table and the win we got there helped us make that little break.

"Everything is on the cards for the same situation on Saturday and hopefully we can do the same again."
