Hadouir waiting on Middlesbrough over contract talks

The agent of Roda JC winger Anouar Hadouir claims he is waiting for Middlesbrough to offload some player's before a deal can be arranged for his client's move to the Championship club. The 28-year-old is out of contract in Kerkrade this summer and had attracted the attention of several clubs, including Boro and a number of Roda JC's Dutch rivals.

Hadouir's agent, Hakim Slimani, claims he was offered a deal by Mowbray in June but could not agree terms and was asked to wait until after Boro had freed up some room in their squad.

"Feyenoord are interested. We're still waiting for a response from Middlesbrough," Slimani told the Sunday Sun.

"Anouar went to Middlesbrough and met Tony Mowbray last month and was offered a contract.

"But the terms were not right, and the club said they would come back to us after they had managed to sell some players.

"We haven't heard anything since."
