Guvenisik signs with San Jose Earthquakes

San Jose Earthquakes have announced the signing of Turkish forward Sercan Guvenisik.

The 31-year old German-born attacker arrives at the Quakes from German third division club Preussen Munster after an impressive trial with the MLS club last year.

"We had him on trial last year and followed him ever since," said San Jose head coach Frank Yallop.

"He's an intelligent, experienced player who should help with the depth on our squad. We're happy to have him in San Jose."

Guvenisik began his career with MSV Duisburg in 1999 and has since spent time with SC Feucht, Vestel Manisaspor, Carl Zeiss Jena, Rot-Weiss Essen and Paderborn.
