Jonas Gutierrez insists he is now ready to help get things back on track at Newcastle United.
The 31-year old Argentine winger has recovered from a bout of testicular cancer and has been working with the Magpies reserves in order to get himself fit enough to be an option for first-team boss John Carver.
Gutierrez, who spent time on loan with Norwich City in 2014, has not played for the Toon for around two years but indicated on Twitter that he is now prepared to assist in their Premier League fight for the remainder of the season if the board will allow him to play.
Healthy and ready now is a board decision.

Gutierrez also thanked the Newcastle faithful for their brilliant support throughout his illness and also revealed that Tyne-Wear rivals Sunderland had also shown plenty of care as he was going through a tough time.
