Guti was outstanding for Real Madrid in their 3-1 win at Deportivo La Coruna last night. It was the first time Real had won at the Riazor for almost 20 years - with Guti at the centre of every positive move from the visitors.
Guti's outrageous back-heel saw Karim Benzema get on the scoresheet and the veteran smiled: "I saw him out of the corner of my eye, the goalkeeper was coming towards me and I thought he had an easier chance.
"In football it is important to give the ball to a better placed colleague.
"I think we showed we're a great team. Despite the casualties, the team has fought hard and showed what is needed to wear this shirt."
