Guti admits there has been a degree of pressure lifted following David Beckham's departure from Real Madrid.

The Spain international midfielder explained: "Things have settled down. Beckham's exit has calmed everything down. With him moving, so has a lot of the press.

"The departure of the famous players has brought a fresh air to the squad. When you're with the same players for a long time, you get into bad habits. Great players have left which gave a lot to this team, but new ones have arrived with a great desire to prove themselves."
