Reading midfielder Danny Guthrie expects a new defensive approach.

Guthrie, 25, warned his team-mates will continue to go on the defensive to keep alive their Premier League survival bid.

He said: "Our fans need to understand we can't always go gung-ho. We've paid a price for that a bit this season.

"We can only get better playing this way."
