Danny Guthrie believes he can still force his way back into first team reckoning at Newcastle United.
The Scouse midfielder has been linked with Nottingham Forest.
He told the Evening Chronicle: "It's been a frustrating season for me.
"I missed the start of the season with a bad injury, and the lads who have played have done really well.
"It's always difficult when you're not playing, and then with little niggly injuries picked up after being out of the team for so long.
"When you come in, it's hard to get going again.
"Hopefully, I can get a few games under my belt between now and the end of the season."
