Guppy satisfied with role at Colorado Rapids

Steve Guppy is happy with his role as assistant coach of Colorado Rapids.

The former Leicester City, Celtic and England winger says he's learned plenty from working with now Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill.

But Guppy says he won't be trying to replicate the gaffer's managerial style.

As Villa assistant manager Steve Walford advised him: "Be yourself."

He told the Villa website: "I think it would be a massive mistake to try and copy Martin. I think he's very individual. I just don't think it's possible.

"I remember before I went out to Colorado I spoke to Steve (Walford) and he gave me a great bit of advice which was be yourself. Just be yourself and give it everything you have got and that's pretty much the way I have been looking at it."
