Defender Chris Gunter has lauded new boss Nigel Adkins for lifting the morale at bottom of the table Reading. "Normally if you are at the bottom of league and things haven't been going particularly well you would often find the mood and spirit and everything like that is quite low," Gunter told Sky Sports.
"But it's strange because the new manager has come in and there's a really good feel about the place and everyone is really positive.
"It is obviously a difficult situation, but since the new manager has come in he's been amazing and he has done everything that's been needed to lift us up and look to the future.
"We just need to try and win as many games as possible. You are never quite sure what is going to happen and we have still got a number of points to play for.
"But I think the main thing is in the long-term making sure his ideas are brought across to everyone at club and whatever happens we are going to be a better squad and better club for it."
