Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan isn't surprised by the hype around Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Mahmoud Dahoud.

The Germany U21 ace has been linked with City and Liverpool this season.

And Gundogan told BILD: "I think a lot of Mo and his way of playing, the boy has great potential.

"I can not judge whether we will play against each other in England. But Mo also showed very strong games in the German U21s. I am pretty sure that we will see ourselves soon in the A-national team with Joachim Löw!

"Dahoud has a great technique and plays very well going forward. He will make his way safely."
