Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan admits manager Pep Guardiola's tactics can sometimes be confusing.

However, the German says everything is understood once theory is put into practice on the pitch.

Gundogan told RTL: "Sporty things are going very well, both for the team and for me personally.

"I just could not be much happier.

"Pep Guardiola tactically brings a gift that is second to none in the world.

"(But sometimes) only when we go to the pitch and see what it triggers, then a light goes on."
