Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is proud to be part of the current team.

Sergio Aguero's 10th hat-trick in all competitions for the club at the weekend left him just two behind Eric Brook's all-time club record of 177, while Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus are also in rich veins of form.

Gundogan said: “Of course it makes everything better and it's more fun to play with these guys. There is so much talent in our squad, but the season is long, it's tough, it's challenging.

“I think we will need all the players, and now I am back it makes everything even more beautiful for me.

“I know what to do to prepare for games, to warm my knee up, and I will do everything to be as fit as possible. I think I'm done with injuries now – I've had my share of them, I am ready to continue playing again."
