Ruud Gullit says David Beckham's loan move to Tottenham is destined to end in tears.
Gullit coached Beckham at LA Galaxy.
"As a footballer, David will always be a great asset," Gullit told the Mirror. "But there is one reason why it might not be a good thing for Spurs to get him.
"The team has been scouted and bought by Harry Redknapp and is doing brilliantly in the Premier League. The squad gets applause all over the place.
"When somebody of David Beckham's status walks in, especially to an English club, he will automatically get the attention. The players responsible for the current success will all of a sudden be put in the shadow. That will cause problems."
