Guidolin: Top four went to Parma heads

Parma coach Francesco Guidolin admits cracking the top four before Christmas went to their heads.

The Ducali were in the Champions League positions at the end of 2009, but started the new year with defeats against Juventus and Livorno.

"Even if during the week we worked well, we were unable to translate those training ground lessons on to the field," mused the Coach.

"Clearly this is a bad moment for us. Now we will try to be more solid and practical, the elements that were crucial at the start of the season.

"Perhaps fourth place made us lose sight of what we really are. Too many compliments went to our heads and didn't really help the team to grow."
