After victory over Cagliari on Sunday, Palermo coach Francesco Guidolin has taken a swipe at president Maurizio Zamparini over his constant sniping.

"When you talk like that in the newspapers it can only have a negative effect on the players," Guidolin told Italia 1.

"It doesn't go down well with me after years of being treated badly by the Press. By doing that the President only puts more pressure on the side.

"It's better for him to talk to the team. We can only hope that he doesn't talk to the Press again. In November he assured me that it wouldn't be happening anymore."
